The SYSLM8 magnetic loop, in conjunction with the 10MATRIXD1224 Metal Mass Detector, is a safety device that prevents the barrier arm from going down if a vehicle is found underneath it. It is also responsible for sending the closing order to the barrier once the vehicle has passed.
